Right now, I’m offering legal document translation only from Spanish to German and viceversa.
Certified translation services
Legal translations are required for a variety of documents, such as:
Diplomas, licenses, CVs & credentials
Court proceedings/court orders
Legal documents are also called legal instruments. Both terms are used for any formally executed written document, such as certificates, deeds, bonds, contracts, wills, legislative and notarial acts. In medieval Latin, documentum had the meaning “written instruction, official paper”.
In Germany, translators can be affiliated with a particular court and are thus allowed to self-certify their translations with a court stamp testifying to the accuracy and trustworthiness of the translation. So the translation has not to be notarized by a licensed notary public, and there’s no need to look for a signed statement of a translation body in which they confirm their credentials and attest to the accuracy of the translation, as it is necessary in many other countries. However, certified translators must always be qualified translators. With legal translation the translator carries great responsibility.
